She knows how to work the system — sitting on her dog bed quietly and staring with those big brown eyes to draw in an unsuspecting dog walker! Then boom — she is a live wire, all action at absorbing all the smells and wonders that she can find and pulling along whoever is on the other end of the leash. Betty has the figure of a beagle, but in shiny black instead of the usual tri-color. She is also a very friendly, good-natured dog, like the majority of beagles, but she is a strong little girl to the surprise of many.
